This tour will start from Labuan Bajo and end it up in Maumere or Ende town depending on your request. Flores Island offers many things to see and do during your visit since Flores is also very famous from its culture and natural attractions. Here is the recommended Flores land tour program for you underneath:

Starting Point           : Labuan Bajo, west Flores Island, Indonesia

Ending Point             : Maumere/Ende, east Flores Island, Indonesia

DAY 1. Labuan Bajo – Wae Rebo (+/- 100 KM. around 5hrs driving to Denge)

Pick you up at your accommodation in Labuan Bajo. Drive to Melo Village to see and enjoy the magnificent panorama around Labuan Bajo. Continue driving to the Lembor area to stop for a while for taking pictures and see the largest paddy-field are. Heading to the south coast to Dintor village via Nagalili. Continue to Denge Village. Start trekking up to Wae Rebo Village through the dense forest for about 9KM. It is about 2,5hrs trekking. Wae Rebo Village is located in the mountain area with an altitude is 1,200M above sea level. So, you should be rather strong to trek up to the village. Upon your arrival at Wae Rebo village, you will see some impressive traditional houses belonging to the Manggarai tribe in west Flores, and you will feel pure and warmest welcomed by friendly local communities of Wae Rebo who live with a full of cultural nuance and the village is surrounded by a pure natural atmosphere. Overnight at Guest House in Wae Rebo village.

DAY 2. Wae Rebo Village – Ruteng (+/- 70 KM. around 3,5hrs driving from Denge)

Breakfast at Wae Rebo village. See and enjoy the Wae Rebo village, by interacting with the local community to learn about their way of life and their unique culture before leaving the village. Trek down back to Denge village. Drive to Ruteng. En route will stop at a Cancar Village to see the incredible Rice Fields that seem like huge spider’s web, and this is one of the most unique west Flores attractions. Heading to Ruteng and check-in at your preferred hotel in Ruteng town.

DAY 3. Ruteng – Bajawa (+/- 135KM. around 5hrs driving)

Pick up at your hotel based in Ruteng. Visit Golo Curu to take a nice picture of Ruteng town’s scenery and beautiful view of Rice terrace surroundings. Drive to Aimere Village, and en-route will also have a quick stop at Ranamese Lake to take a picture natural crater lake which is located close to the main road in the middle of a dense forest. Heading to Aimere Village where you can see how the local people produce alcoholic drink locally (it is called Moke/Arack Flores) which is processed out of palm juice. Heading to Bajawa for checking at your preferred hotel. In the afternoon we will visit So’a Natural Hot Spring to take a bath and relax.

DAY 4. Bajawa – Moni (+/- 170KM. around 6hrs driving)

Pick up at your hotel. Driving to an impressive traditional village which is called Bena Village – walk around the village to make pictures and interact with friendly local inhabitants. Visit Manu Lalu ‘spectacular viewpoint’. Continue driving to east Flores by stopping by Blue Stone Beach to relax or take a bath. En route will stop at a photo spot for photographing or admiring a volcano that is called Ebulobo Volcano. Driving to Moni village via Ende town. En route will stop at a few nice places such as the traditional village of the Lio tribe called Wologai Village and stop at the street local market of Ndua Ria. Check-In at your chosen accommodation in Moni village for overnight.

DAY 5. Moni – Maumere (+/- 100KM. around 3hrs driving) or Moni – Ende (+/-50KM)

On the last day of this Flores land tour will pick you up quite earlier and start the trip at around 04.00 AM to see the most natural highlight of Flores’ Island. Driving to Mt. Kelimutu for about 1hrs. Then take an easy walk up to the Kelimutu volcano summit through the path stairs. The walking up will be around 30 minutes till the summit. From the summit of Mt. Kelimutu, you can enjoy the wonderful landscape and see three amazing different color lakes called ‘Kelimutu Lake’. After spending your time at Kelimutu, will walk down back to the Car Parking lot. Drive back to your accommodation at Moni, for breakfast, and then continue your trip to eastward of Flores Island that is Maumere or drive back to Ende with a few stops on the way before reaching Maumere or Ende. Drop at your chosen hotel or at the airport for your next destination.
